Fave Authors

THE LIST IS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. I LIKE ALL OF THESE AUTHORS EQUALLY, MOSTLY.

Maria V. Snyder
She's the one and only author of the "Poison Study" series, which was ahead of its time when it was first released, and has since set the standard for YA high fantasy. The "Poison Study" trilogy came to be one of my all time favourite fantasy series after reading it in early 2019. An author I admire and want to read more by!

Rick Riordan
I've only read his "Percy Jackson & the Olympians" series, but I liked that one a lot! I'll try to read more of his books in the future.

Cassandra Clare
"The Infernal Devices" is an iconic young adult historical fantasy series, much thanks to one of the most well written triangle romance dramas ever. Once upon a time, I loved everything I read by this author, though I feel I've grown out of some of that love with time. Nevertheless, some of those shadowhunter memories will always stay with me.

Neil Gaiman
I've read Neverwhere, Coraline & Other Stories, The Ocean at the End of the Lane and bits and pieces of some of his other works. I find his style both wonderful and full of humour. Plus, he looks so smug too ;)

J.K. Rowling
I've had my ups and downs regarding my opinion of Rowling over the years, especially with the release of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" (which she didn't write herself, but still allowed to be published) and "The Crimes of Grindelwald", neither of which I was impressed by. However, I can not deny that the "Harry Potter" series has a special place in my heart. She remains an idol to me in some ways.

Jennifer L. Armentrout
I've read almost all the books in the "Lux" series and I've started the "Covenant" series. There is still a lot more for me to read by Armentrout (even if the covers aren't always the prettiest) and I've loved every single page she's produced so far.

Libba Bray
I loved, and still do, the "Gemma Doyle" trilogy. I will always adore those books. "The Diviners" is definitely also worth reading, and I hope to maybe continue reading that series one day.

Kerstin Gier
Kerstin Gier's books have so far introduced me to two of the loveliest main characters whom I have connected to the most. There was a time that I would have given a lot to have Liv Silver and Gwendolyn Shepherd as my real life friends. Gier has such great humour and writes very cute romances.

A truly talented author with a beautiful way of writing. "Vicious" is one of the books that has shaped me most as a reader and for that I cannot thank her enough. I mostly enjoy her adult works.

Brandon Sanderson
Author of the rather famous "Mistborn" series, as well as the "Stormlight Archives" series. I've so far read the "Reckoners" trilogy and most of "Mistborn" and liked both a lot. Looking forward to reading more about this modern mega author!

Richelle Mead
Loving that hair colour! Also loving her series "Vampire Academy", which I devoured in ca 1 month. I have already acquired a bunch of books by her, and I'm looking forward to diving into them all! Mead has managed to deliver on the YA vampire guilty pleasure front, and I hope she'll continue to do so.
