The Book Sacrifice Tag!

Top of the mornin' to whoever's reading!

Our new English teacher is Irish (but he has a disappointingly weak Irish accent), so I'm trying to get familiar with the Irishness and stuff. Of course, I take help from Jacksepticeye ;)
Anyway, speaking of YouTubers, today I'm doing a tag that was originally created by a BookTuber on YouTube. Her channel is called Ariel Bissett and she's pretty great, so you should definitely check her out.
The tag is called The Book Sacrifice Tag and instead of celebrating the good books out there, this was made for the bad books that we didn't like. I'm gonna get a few different scenarios and some questions and I'm going to answer them to the best of my abilities.

1) An Over-Hyped book: Let's start this off with a Zombie Apocalypse! Let's say you're in a book store, just browsing, when BAM! ZOMBIE ATTACK! An announcement comes over the PA System saying that the military has discovered that the zombies' only weakness is over-hyped books. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you really hated do you start chucking at the zombies knowing that it will count as an over-hyped book and successfully wipe them out?!
I pick the last book I finished; Tiger's Cruse by Colleen Houck. I had such high expectations for this book, this series, and the reviews on Goodreads looked very positive and it had a high rating and it's rather popular. Plus the story had so much potential, being set in India which could've given the story a sort of uniqueness in the YA world of books. But nope! The main character was infuriating and the rest was just crap. I most likely will not continue on with the series as I've heard the second book doesn't get any better.

2) A Sequel: Let's say you've just left the salon with a SMASHING new haircut and BOOM: Torrential downpour. What sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to protect yourself?
I'm leaning towards either Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins or Crossed by Allie Condie. But I have a bind-up of the whole Hunger Games Trilogy, so that would mean sacrificing the whole series and that's a big no-no. Therefore I choose Crossed by Allie Condie, the sequel to Matched. This is a dystopian trilogy where I enjoyed the first book, but nothing happened in Crossed. It was so boring! I know the last book is pretty hefty as well, so I won't be finishing this series.

3) A Classic: Let's say you're in a lecture and your English teacher is going on and on about how this classic changed the world, how it revolutionized literature and you get so sick of it that you chuck the classic right at his face because you know what? This classic is stupid and it's worth detention just to show everyone how you feel! What Classic did you chuck?
Now, I haven't read a whole lot of classics. I own a few and I've read even less, but I think I have a good answer. I'll have to pick Dracula by Bram Stoker. While this was a fascinating book to read as a whole, it took ages to get through. It's rather big and almost nothing happens for big parts of it. I really liked the beginning, but then it went downhill from there. I know some sexism is to be expected from classics from so long ago, but I didn't feel comfortable at all when the men were too obvious about the female lead character being weaker because of her gender.
I would feel bad about throwing this at my teacher because it's so big, but what can you do?

4) Your least favourite book of life!: Let's say that you're hanging out at the library when BAM global warming explodes and the world outside becomes a frozen wasteland. You're trapped and your only chance for survival is to burn a book. What is the book you first run to, your least favourite book of all life, what book do you not fully regret lighting?
Oh, such a tricky question! I better pick a big one, don't I, so it burns for longer. Ah, I don't want to pick Tiger's Curse again, so I say The Awakening by L.J. Smith. I despise the whole Vampire Diaries series, but I have to pick one so this'll be it. I wasn't a huge fan of the TV-series, but the books were worse.

So that's it! I hoped you enjoyed and that you never get into any of these situations in real life where you have to sacrifice books.

Hej då!
