Covers in the World #2: Ruby Red

German covers 1:

Oh, so pretty! I just want to grab them and hug them and learn German so I can read them. Love!



German covers 2:
The movie covers in German. Nice, but not like the originals.

British covers:

Classy and match each other. And I happen to know they're really shiny in real life. I didn't read the series in English, but if I had I'd' have bought these, I think.

American covers:

Also nice. I like how the dresses take up much of the picture and the backgrounds are pretty cool with the city going back in a spiral. They could also be an alternative if I chose to buy the series in English.

English cover:

Don't know what country did this, but here they tried to change the title. I don't like it. Doesn't feel like Gwen on the cover. Bleh.

Spanish covers 1:

Classy and cute. If I knew Spanish (which I should, as I take it in school), I could consider buying these, absolutely. The last one isn't too different from the Swedish.

Spanish covers 2:

Nah, Spain, the last one worked for me. Why did you have to come with these, too? Doesn't feel like they fit the books at all, even if London's in the background and the girl could be Gwendolyn. No, minus points to Spain!



Vietnamese cover:
I'm almost at a loss of words. It's beautiful! I really want to see how the other two books would look with these covers. Well, if they continue translating at all. But anyways, I adore this!

Italian covers:

Yet another series which covers I like more the longer I look at them. Not original at all, but it works anyway.

Danish covers:

Denmark... you... why... what... no. Just no.
*sigh*

Slovakian covers:

Ooh, I like this. Fits okay with the content of the books, match together well, nice pictures. My cup o' tea. I actually think I like the first book the most here, even if the other two are very pretty as well.

Indonesian covers:

Well, isn't this... colourful. Don't know if the one who made the covers knew Gwendolyn has black hair and that it's her cousin that has red hair. Although, it could be Lucy, I guess. But I'd have preferred to see Gwendolyn instead. A bit too bright when it comes to the colours and not so stunning photos.

Russian cover:
Is this an okay Russian book cover that I look upon? That's rare. And I don't say that to point out Russia, I say it because they have a bit of a special style when it comes to books that differs  from the ones we usually see in Europe and US. Now, this is a movie cover, but it's not bad at all.

Swedish covers 1:

Fellow Swedes, do you remember these beauties that we thought we'd get? It ended with us only getting the first book before the publisher changed their minds and wanted to change the covers. And the new ones are probably nice, but not at all as appealing as these. I myself own the first book with this cover.

Swedish covers 2:

Like I said, probably nice, but I feel a little bitter over the cover change still. These are kinda classy and all look about the same, with small details being different and then the colours of course. They're okay covers, but I'd rather had the originals.

French cover:
Seems like all the movie covers for Ruby Red uses the same picture. But this they've worked a little harder on and I like that. Points to France!



Chinese covers:
It's so nice that China translated the books! And they're so neat! I'd never say no to having these on my shelf.
